ALVIN N. MCDONALD DIES IN ARIZONA

Alvin N. McDonald, former Winterset resident, died Sunday, Jan. 27, at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. McDonald was born near Van Meter, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. McDonald. As a young man he was employed in the Johnson bakery here. He was married here to Rose Ann Adkins of Winterset. They moved to Phoenix in 1936. He owned and operated a bakery business there until his health failed.

Surviving are his wife, Rose; three sons, Eddie, Rex and Sharrell Joe McDonald; a daughter Mrs. Wyona Coffman, all of Phoenix; a sister, Mrs. Grace Naylor of Sedona, Ariz.; three brothers, Ray McDonald of Sac City, Lloyd McDonald of Winterset and Harry W. McDonald of Phoenix; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were held Jan. 29 in Phoenix.
