The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 20, 2008 Glenn Norman Anderson died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Scottsdale Village Square in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Kenosha, Wis., the son of Irvin R. and Minnie (Leable) Anderson. Glenn was 80 years old. Glenn and his beloved wife Janice were married for 58 wonderful years. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Paula and Darlene. Glenn was an Army war veteran in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a sales manager for Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring, and was a member of many organizations. Glenn enjoyed bird watching and outdoor sports and was most proud of his family. A Celebration of Glenn's Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home 303 S. Cortez St. in Prescott. A private burial will follow the service. The family suggests memorials in Glenn's name to American Cancer Society Arizona Division, 2724 E. Larkin, Suite #9, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86001. He was born November 29, 1927 in Kenosha, WI; the son of Irvin R. & Minnie (Leable) Anderson. Glenn was 80 years old. Glenn & his beloved wife Janice, were married for 58 wonderful years. Together they had two beautiful daughters Paula and Darlene. Glenn served his Country in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict and is a War Veteran. He worked as a Sales Manager for a Bethlahem Steel Corporation before retiring and was a 30 year member of the Elks Club. Glenn also was very proud to have been a 4 year student body president and prom king at Kenosha High School in Wisconsin and receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University. He volunteered and gave his heart to the homeless animals at the Yavapai Humane Society. Glenn enjoyed bird watching, fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and history. He was the most proud of his family. He is survived by his loving wife Janice of 58 years; daughters- Paula (Denny) Brown of Phoenix, AZ; Darlene (Paul) Zellmer of Phoenix, AZ; brothers-Roy (Ginny) Anderson of Claremont, CA; Don (Jean) Anderson of Huffman Estates, IL;grandchildren- Adam, Ryan, Eric, Robert, and Kindra; great granchildren- Nicholas. |
