Shirley A. Heymann

Shirley A. Heymann, 88, passed away on March 26, 2006, at the Golden Leaf Care Home in Prescott Valley.

She was the daughter of Benjamin Rosenbloom and Helen Michelman. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Shirley moved to Northampton, Mass., where she graduated from Smith College. She served her country with distinction as an officer in the Army during WWII.

Following her marriage to Michael Heymann, she settled in Arizona, first in Phoenix and then in Prescott. Shirley loved animals, reading, playing bridge and conversation with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and lived life on her own terms to the very end.

She was one-of-a-kind, and will be greatly missed by her neices, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephew back East, and her dear friends in Prescott.

Services will be held privately.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Shirley's memory to the Nature Conservancy or the Sierra Club.
