Jean Louise Twentier Robinson, beloved mother of four children, died unexpectedly on November 28, 2005 in Cottonwood, Arizona.

She was married to W. L. "Dub" Robinson who preceded her in death in 1998.

Born March 27, 1926, in Two Buttes, Colorado, Jean was the daughter of Colorado homesteaders, Elva Jewel Barker and Raymond Peter Twentier.

Elva and Ray met as teenagers after traveling with their families via covered wagon to homesteads in Beaver County, Oklahoma in 1906. Mr. Twentier carried mail for the U.S. Postal Service in Holly, Colorado where Jean attended local schools. Jean was given the nickname of "Stormy" by her father. The family moved to Zearing, Iowa where Jean was valedictorian of her graduating class and performed in theater. During her childhood, Jean acquired the first of many cherished Scottish terriers, Sparky. She was accompanied through life by other Scotties including Mr. Mac, and Tootsie and Tibbie who survive her.

Jean attended the University of Arizona. As a young woman, Jean resided in Bisbee and Douglas, Arizona where she was a member of The Order of Eastern Star, Border Chapter #15 and was involved in local theater and women's organizations. She was an executive secretary for Phelps Dodge Corporation in Douglas and Occidental Petroleum in Denver, Colorado. She retired after working as executive assistant to the administrator for Marcus J. Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Cottonwood.

In recent years, Jean cultivated and became an expert in family genealogy and research and was able to trace her roots back to 12th century England. She corresponded with people all over the world, contributed research and assisted in publishing a volume of family history entitled "McMinn County, Tennessee and It's People 1819-1997."

Jean's family will donate her extensive collection of family photographs, books, historical items and documents to a genealogy library.

Jean was a strong, independent spirit and an inspiration to her children, grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren who survive her.
