Eva Pearl Releford

Eva Pearl Releford, 93, of Cottonwood Arizona, passed away on Saturday 10, 2005.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Walter, beloved daughter Mardele and son-in-law Mitch Davis. Eva was also preceded in death by her parents Wilmar and Claire, brothers Floyd and Bernce and sister Margaret Meyer.

Eva was born in Luverne, Minnesota on July 2, 1912. After graduating from Pipestone High School in 1930; Eva worked at various jobs in Duluth, Minnesota before attending school to become a Cosmetologist.

Eva moved to Arizona in the 1940's. She lived in Phoenix before moving to the White Mountain area in 1957 where she owned and operated beauty shops in Pinetop and Show Low.

Eva enjoyed golfing and belonged to the Show Low Country Club Golf Association where held the office of President from 1974-1976.

When Eva and Walt retired they returned to the Valley and resided at Apache Wells where they could enjoy year round golfing. Eva joined the Apache Wells Nine Hole Swingers Association where she served as President and served in other positions. Eva also enjoyed dancing, sewing, ceramics and was a wonderful cook.

Eva moved to the Verde Valley in 2002 and has been residing at Home Sweet Home.

She will be greatly missed by granddaughter Shawn and husband Bill Becker of Thornton, Colorado; grandson Kevin and wife Debbie Davis of Camp Verde, Ariz.; grandson Kent of Phoenix and grandson-in-law Ron Collins; 14 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and two on the way.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17th at 3:00 p.m. at the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, Ariz.

The family has requested memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Home Sweet Home, Cottonwood, Ariz. or a charity of your choice.
