The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, August 7, 2002 Ralph N. Turpin, 55, of Cottonwood Arizona, passed away on August 5, 2002. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8th from 5-7 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. Services Friday, August 9th, 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Turpin, 55, of Cottonwood died August 5. He was born April 27, 1947 in Danville, Virginia. Mr. Turpin was employed by Kellog, Brown and Root for 10 years as a health, safety and enviroment inspector. He served in the US Navy from June 1966 to October 1988. A member of the First Assembly of God Church, Mr. Turpin enjoyed reading the bible and praying daily. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon Turpin; a daughter Rhonda Shearer, Flagstaff; a son, Robert Turpin, serving with the Navy in Corpus Christi, Tx.; his parents, Henry Nelson and Louise Turpin of Danville, Va.; sisters, Rachel Taylor and Rosemary Bennett, both of Danville, Va.; two grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 8 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9 in the First Assembly of God Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by VFW Post 7400. Donations in his memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
