| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 5, 2006 Susan Ann Spurlock, 66, of Prescott, born Sept., 8, 1939, in Alliance, Ohio, died Monday, April 3, 2006, in Prescott. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the same location. Private interment will be at National VA Cemetery in Phoenix. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home. --------------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, April 7, 2006 Susan Ann Spurlock at age 66 went to be with the Lord she loved and served on April 3, 2006. Susan was born in Alliance, Ohio on September 8, 1939, the only child of Roy and Wilma Drayer. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack, after a beautiful marriage of forty seven years. Their daughter, Shelly, who is married to Craig Huey in Rolling Hills, Calif, and together they have five wonderful children. Asher is attending American University in Washington DC, Julia is attending Boston University in Boston, Maine, Kelly is attending Arizona State in Phoenix, Cory is attending Army/Navy Academy in Carlsbad, Calif., and Caleb is Graduating from High School this year. Susan spent 10 years as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship, a national bible study for Women. She was a deaconess for six years at First Baptist Church in Los Altos, Calif, and led Ladies Bible studies at Valley Church in Cupertino, Calif, and Shadow Mountain Baptist Church in Morgan Hill, Calif. Susan enjoyed hiking, camping and being a great homemaker. She especially enjoyed guiding young ladies in being a godly helpmate to their husbands arid having English style tea parties for the young girls of the church. A home going service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aprils, 2006 at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel m .Prescott Valley, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. The service will be officiated by-Pastor David Parker, of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Prescott Valley. The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Susan in lieu of flowers be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 8049 E. Ashley Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona 86314. Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home. All local friends and relatives are encouraged to attend the service at Sunrise Funeral Home. All attendance is encouraged to come to Susan and Jack's home for a light luncheon and fellowship following the services. A memorial service will also be held in California Shadow Mountain Baptist Church on April 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. for her friends in California. Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
