Evelyn Parris, 74, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died Oct. 30, 2008. She was born May 19, 1934, in Roosevelt, Utah, the daughter of Dalton E. and Sylvia C. (Anderson) Hunt.

Mrs. Parris attended Preston Elementary and Preston High Schools. She retired as a bookkeeper from an auto dealership. She was married to the late Howard Parris.

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a primary teacher, a Relief Society teacher and an Inservice leader.

Her hobbies were painting, reading crocheting, genealogy and crafts.

She leaves her sons, Donald G. Parris of Central, Ariz., Robert L. Parris of Havasu City, and Randy Parris of Cottonwood; a daughter, Diana L. Smithson of Cottonwood; a brother Leland Hunt of California; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cottonwood at 11 a.m. An hour of visitation will precede the service. Burial will be in Idaho.
