Christa Fasching, 84, of Sedona, Ariz., died Oct. 30, 2008. She was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of Christian and Gertrud (Nev) Lerch.

She attended the University of Vienna. Mrs. Fasching immigrated to Canada in 1952 and then to the United States in 1956. She had worked as a secretary.

A watercolor artist, she was a member of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. She also was a member of the Red Rocks 4W Drive Club.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter Fasching; and a large extended family.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
