Wilma Kinsley Carlson, died August 13, 2002 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born to an Arizona pioneer family Elbert Leland and Viola C. (Sullivan) Kinsley in Patagonia, Arizona, March 4, 1920.

She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing.

Wilma married Herbert Carlson June 3, 1941 and they lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico from 1954 to 1991, when they moved to Prescott.

She retired as an R.N. from Medpark Medical Center, after 20 years of employment.

She was always a can do active person active in the Catholic Church, New Mexico State Nurses Association, serving as an officer, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the BPOE, and a volunteer for Red Cross Health Clinics. Wilma also enjoyed golfing, taking walks or doing water aerobics, as well as picking up a brush and painting beautiful Arizona landscapes or still lifes in various mediums.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard and Paulette Edward and Linda granddaughter Erica, great grandchildren, Christopher ''Sweetpea'', Leticia and Samantha and sisters Jean Lynch and Isobel Warner.

Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery. Rosary 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2002 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home with visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
