The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, September 09, 2008 Wanda Jean Strinker, 88, resident of Cottonwood, died Sept. 4. She was born June 1, 1920, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Ben Hilton and Euginia Marguriete Chamberlain. During her high school years, Wanda and her sister would sing a duet to the theme song, "Please Lend a Little Ear" for Channel 10, KOY, KTAR, and Fox Theater. She was an artist and a collector; she enjoyed sewing, reading, and traveling. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Strinker; her brother, Warren Chamberlain; and her parents. She leaves behind three daughters, Marilyn Peek of Sedona, Pamela Duncan with her husband, James of Washington, and Suzanne Evans with her husband, Dan of Cornville; her brother, Loren Chamberlain with his wife, Patricia of California; her sister, Iona Webber of Phoenix; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
