Orlando Lewis, 19, of Camp Verde, died Sept. 17, 2008. Orlando was born April 14, 1989, in Cottonwood to Orville and Peggy (Tom) Lewis.

Orlando was a happy person as evident by his perpetual smile. He worked as a slot technician at Cliff Castle Casino. He enjoyed dancing and was an Apache Crown Dancer. He enjoyed Apache Social dances and Apache Sunrises. He loved all sports especially basketball. He looked forward to soon serving his country in the Marine Corps.

Orlando is survived by his parents, Orville and Peggy Lewis; his son, Orlando Keaweaheulu Lewis; his brothers, Jay-R Lewis and Tommy Jackson Jr.; his sisters, LaShonna Lewis, Shenaya Lewis, and Shushandalynn Lewis.

A memorial wake and visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 21, from 5 p.m. till sunrise at the family home in Middle Verde. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Sept. 22, at the Yavapai-Apache Gymnasium. Interment will follow at the Yavapai-Apache Nation Cemetery.
