Roberta Maple, 71, Cottonwood, Ariz. died Sept. 24. She was born May 8, 1937, in Pike County, Ohio, the daughter of Channing Clifford DeWitt and Della Mae Matthews DeWitt.

She was a graduate of Waverly (Ohio) High School and was a retired Innkeeper at a Bed & Breakfast. Mrs. Maple was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband David L. Maple; three sons, David Maple, Jr. (and his wife Mary) of Glen Rose, Texas, Michael Maple and Mark Maple, both of Houston, Texas; a daughter Tami Maple of Waverly, Ohio; her mother Della Mae DeWitt of Ohio; five brothers, Eldon DeWitt of Waverly, Ohio, Ralph DeWitt and his wife Kay of Kingman, Arizona, Donald DeWitt (Ruby) of Beaver, Ohio, Charles DeWitt (Helen) of Columbus, Ohio and Jeffrey DeWitt of Bainbridge, Ohio; two sisters, Lois Cooper (James) of Seiverville, Tennessee and Patricia McKnight (Robert) of Hamden, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on today, Sept. 28, in the First Southern Baptist Church in Cottonwood, Ariz. at 2 p.m..
