Neil Donald McLeod, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died Oct. 2, 2008, at the age of 92. He was born in Akron, N.Y., on March 3, 1916.

Neil worked for and retired from Empire Trailways Bus Company, giving 32 years of dedicated service.

Following both his and his wife, Jessie's retirement in 1978 they became very active in the Verde Village. Both Neil and Jessie served in many offices of the VVPOA. Neil was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Jessie died in 1994 after 50 years of marriage.

Neil leaves behind three daughters, Diane Brown of Norman, Okla., Judy Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mollie Lannigan of Grandview, Mo.; his son, Larry McLeod of Santee, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Neil is also survived by his brother, Francis McLeod of Akron, N.Y; two sisters, one from Pinellas Park, Florida, and the other from Crystal Beach, Ontario, Canada.

A Memorial Mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Saturday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m. At some later date, both Neil and Jessie will be inurned at the All Souls Cemetery.
