Chester A. Michael, a Cottonwood Ariz., resident died May 25, 2001. He was 88 years old. Mr. Michael was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 29, 1912 to James E. and Blanch (Weaver) Michael.

He was a retired locksmith and he collected mechanical banks as a hobby.

Mr. Michael is survived by his wife of 66 years, Getha Michael, two sons, Thomas E. Michael and his wife Linda K. of Cornville, Ariz. and Robert O. Michael and his wife Linda S. of Cottonwood, Ariz., one sister, Bonnie Keane of Madison, Wash. and one brother, Thomas Michael of Cordes Lakes, Ariz; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his son-in-law, George Black.

He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Black.

A memorial service for Mr. Michael will be held at the Westcott Funeral Home Chapel in Cottonwood, Ariz., on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 7:00 P.M.
