The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/28/2011 Barbara Jean McFarlin was ushered into the presence of Almighty God and her heavenly home Oct. 22, 2011, in Show Low. She was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Franklin, Kentucky to Barbara and James McFarlin the middle child of eight siblings and loved deeply by all. She grew up in the Phoenix area and moved to Show Low about 10 years ago and remained there until her untimely death. She was active in her local church. She had a gift of music and she loved to sing and she was quite good at it. She wrote several beautiful songs of faith and was able to perform them at different venues all around the White Mountains. Barbara was a beloved sister, aunt and friend and a warrior of the faith. She was an absolute blessing to her family and friends and she loved the Lord with all her heart. Barbara will be greatly missed. "Until we see you again sweetheart, may God bless and keep you." Barbara is survived by her brothers, sisters and their spouses: Sandra and Al Burghard, Susan McFarlin, John McFarlin, Tim and Sandy McFarlin, Bob and Yvonne McFarlin, Jenny McFarlin and Steve and Rhonda McFarlin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Nick Burghard, Annette, Jeannette Deskins, Robbie and Donna Deskins, Richard Parsons, Johnny McFarlin Jr., Rick and Jeff McFarlin, Jarrod and Audrey McFarlin, Jake and Morgan McFarlin and several grand nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery at 401 North Hayden Road in Scottsdale. Viewing will be from 12-2 p.m. with services and burial to follow.
