The Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Arizona Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Charles (Chuck) Carr, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2008. Chuck was born in Bath, Maine on October 19, 1929. He moved to Douglas, Ariz. with his wife, Sonja, where they raised their four boys. For much of his life, Chuck owned and operated a second hand store in Douglas, Ariz. by the name of "The Yankee Trader". He also served in the Korean War. His hobbies included music (guitar, harmonica, and singing) and wood carving. Chuck was preceeded in death by his wife, Sonja. He is survived by his sons, George (Susan) Yuma, Ariz., Phil (Pat) Tucson, Ariz., Chuck (Lisa) Oakview, Calif., and Shaun (Suzanne) Wichita, Ks. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at God's Country Church, 758 S. Columbus Blvd., at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Prescott, Ariz. Note: Burial was at the Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz. |
