Alpheus Hoyt Favour

Alpheus H. Favour, died early Thursday morning August 29, 2002 at his home in Prescott. He was born October 17, 1945 in Prescott, Arizona, the son of Alpheus L. and Capella Slipher Favour.

He graduated from Orme School and the University of Arizona.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a medic.

Al was a rancher on the Bar Cross Outfit until he was 38. He then followed his loved and great knowledge of the southwest to become a well known and respected Indian trader and appraiser of both antique and modem Indian artifacts.

He loved his family and devoted his time and energy to them.

He was a past President of the Chino Valley Unified School District School Board and the Smoki Museum. He was also a member of the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association and Atzlan F & AM. Lodge #1.

He had a great sense of humor and was loved throughout the southwest across all cultural backgrounds.

He is survived by his wife Sue daughters, Lisa Marie Swaim and her husband, Todd, of Prescott, Jennifer Elizabeth Favour of Prescott and Catherine Leigh Favour of Tucson brother, Mark Slipher Favour of Prescott and sister Elizabeth Allison Kravetz and her husband Howard of Prescott. His parents Al and Capella Favour, also survive him.

Private family burial will be at Summit Mountain with a party of remembrance for family and friends held and noticed in mid October.
