Fred A. Newlin, 54, of Prescott Arizona, passed away October 1, 2001 in Riverside, California. He was born July 1, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to Arthur and Constance (Dallas) Newlin.

He attended Arizona State University. Mr. Newlin retired from the Ariz. Dept. of Public Safety after 20 years. He received the Medal of Valor from DPS for Heroic Action in a Propane Explosion in Kingman, Arizona in July 1973. He was a member of the American Luthern Church and flew airplanes for a hobby.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Newlin of Prescott, Ariz. his mother, Constance Newlin daughter, Jennifer Newlin of Prescott son, Scott Newlin of Huntsville, Ala. and his sisters, Sandra Gordon of Colts Neck, N.J. and Kerry Osborne of Valencia, Calif.

Visitation Thursday, October 4th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Chapel in Prescott.

Services Friday, October 5th, 11:00 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church on Scott Drive in Prescott.
