Robert W. Yale, Prescott, Arizona. Bob passed away on August 14, 2007 at 86 years of age. Bob was born on November 27, 1920 in San Francisco, California.

He joined the Navy during World War II and was quickly dispatched to the front lines.

After the war he married the love of his life, Beverly Andrews. Bev passed away in 1999. They were quite a team for 55 years.

Bob was a member of the United Association of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry for over 65 years and most of that time was with Local 469 in Phoenix Arizona. Bob always worked for the best contractors and was a model of mutual respect.

In 1952 the family moved from California to Phoenix. After building a rustic summer cabin in Prescott in 1958, Bob and Bev developed a love for the area and retired there in 1977. They always enjoyed wide open spaces and built their new retirement home with scenic views of Prescott, Thumb Butte and the San Francisco Peaks.

Bob always had a kind word, a big smile, a bigger heart and helped numerous people in need during his 86 years on this earth. He had a passion for horse racing and all of the camaraderie that goes along with going to the track. Bob loved people and would always give them the benefit of the doubt.

Bob is survived by his son John and his wife Linda (Muffy). Bob and Bev loved Linda and took her as the daughter they never had.

His son Robert W. Yale III preceded Bob in death in 2000. Bob is also survived by grandsons Nick and Ryan. Joe and Patti Venuti were very special to Bob and the hot coffee and long talks will be sorely missed. Georgianna Collins was his primary caregiver and will miss Bob's viewpoints, complaints and most of all his company and generosity.

Dad-Thank you for your guidance, support and unconditional love that you showered every one of us with. We love you and you will be forever in our hearts and minds.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date. Please direct any donations to the wonderful organization of Hospice Family Care of Prescott, 100 East Sheldon Street, Prescott, Ariz., 86301.
