Bernice (Sevy) Boxell

Bernice Sevy Boxell, 73, of Prescott, Arizona, died Wednesday, April 24, 1991 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.

She was born September 11, 1917 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of John and Mae Houston Sevy. She married Paul J. Boxell July 11, 1943 in Washington, DC. She grew up and graduated from high school in Richfield. She attended Utah State University in Logan and worked in Salt Lake City as a secretary. During World War II she moved back East. Since she has resided in Ohio, Indiana, and Connecticut.

After retiring, she and her husband moved to Prescott and have lived there the last five years.

She was an active member and officer of the Prescott Fine Arts Association. She was a member of the Yavapai Community College Chorus. She was a member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her husband of Prescott; a daughter and two sons, Christina Marshall, Provo; Tillman Boxell, Salt Lake City; John Boxell, Middletown, Maryland; eight grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, Mae Bezzant, Pleasant Grove; Mary Johnson, Elsinore; George Sevy, Perry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
