EARL R. RADLEY, 78, IS DEAD IN ARIZONA

Earl R. Radley, 78, Prescott, Ariz., a native of Martinsburg, died Tuesday in Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday at Humboldt Bible Church, Humboldt, Ariz., with the Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial was in Humboldt Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Sunrise Funeral Home, Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen; a son, James J. Radley, Mayer, Ariz.; a stepson, David McBee, Pueblo, Colo.; two daughters, Mary Helen Ortlieb, Mayer, and Catherine Anne Bell, Kirtland, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Dianne Salisbury, Phoenix, Ariz., and Debbie Smith, Colorado; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Brooks, Mayer, and Mrs. Lyle (Florence) Hoyt, Lowville, and a niece.

He was born March 13, 1913, in Martinsburg, a son of Ernest Edward and Mabel D. Evans Radley.

He married Veronica McCarthy in 1939, in Glenfield. The couple later divorced in 1982 and she died in 1990. He later married Mary Ellen Farnsworth Feb. 2, 1982, in Humboldt, with the Rev. Mr. Jones officiating.

Mr. Radley was employed with the New York State Highway Department before moving to Arizona in 1964. He was a farmer and a rancher on several farms in the Prescott area.

He was a 4-H leader, working with youth in horsemanship, and a square dance caller.
