Sharon F. Porter, age 68 died in Prescott, Arizona, March 27, 2002. She was born January 23, 1934 in Phoenix, Arizona to Russell and Harriet (Commode) Douglas. Sharon married Billy G. Porter in 1950 in Arizona.

Sharon worked for the Batavia Police department in Batavia, Illinois as a records clerk for 15 years she retired in 1997 and moved to Arizona.

Sharon loved to read & gamble. She loved pink roses and candy. She was a very devoted family person and was a member of the Eastern Star in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy in 1989, her son Danny in 1987 and her mother Harriet in 1995. She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Cynda Porter of Eagleriver, Alaska; daughters, Joyce and her husband Greg Zieche of Dewey, Arizona, Sharon and her husband Gary Burgess of Cummings, Georgia; a brother, Buddy and his wife Juanita Douglas of Tucson, Arizona, sister Ann, and her husband Gary Mazey of Prescott Valley, Arizona;hHer father Russell of Dewey, Arizona; her uncle Kenneth of Dewey, Arizona, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 8125 N. 23rd Ave. #222, Phoenix, Arizona, 85021-4961 in memory of Billy her late husband.

Sunrise Funeral Home and Crematory assited the family with arrangements.
