A. Loretta Vail passed away unexpectedly Dec. 12, 2008 to be with her beloved husband of 46 years, Curt, who preceded her in death in 2007, along with her infant son who died in 1962. Loretta was born in Phoenix, Ariz., March 24, 1942.

She is survived by her three children, Vance (Kelly), Wade (Beth) and Suzy (Scott) Webster; and four grandchildren, Jake, Taylor, Derrik and one on the way.

Loretta and her husband were the owners of Vail Contracting. Anyone who knew Loretta knew how much love she had for her family, her friends and life. To know her was to love her. She had more compassion than anyone on earth; when she walked into the room everyone felt her beauty. She especially loved spending time with her family. Ask anyone of her friends or family and they would tell you how much she touched their lives and what a compassionate women she was. She was the perfect mom, grandma and friend.

A Celebration of Loretta's Life will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, with visitation one-hour prior. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, Ariz.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
