| The Salt Lake Tribune, Salt Lake City, Utah Wednesday, July 15, 1992 Kenny Thelen, 67, passed away July 13, 1992, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, of cancer. Born September 27, 1924 in Clarkdale, Arizona, the son of Matthew Kenneth and Marie Downing Thelen. He married Juanita Longerbeam; she preceded him in death. He later married Colleen Watts, Sept. 27, 1987, in Salt Lake City. He was everyone's friend and fishing buddy. He lived most of his life in Vallejo, California. We enjoyed the time he spent here with us in Salt Lake City. He was very much loved by all who knew him. Survived by his wife; sons, Lancer Thelen, Fairfield, Calif.; Matt Thelen, Vallejo; four step-children, Sherry (Rick) Wells, Cindy (Dan) McBride, Collette (Mike) McBride, and Michiel (Kandi) Watts; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Private services will be held in California at a later date. Our special thanks to Dr. Daryl Hensleigh and office staff and Carol and George for their Hospice Care. Also thanks to Shirley and Ray for always being there. 'Happy fishin' sweetheart!' |
