Tomasita "Tommie" Granillo, a Prescott native, passed into the arms of Our Lord on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006. Tommie was born on Feb. 20, 1927. She lived her life in Prescott.
Tommie graduated from Prescott High School in 1945. In 1947, she married a Jerome native, Romaldo Granillo. Tommie and Romaldo recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Tommie was a master cook who loved to entertain her family and friends. On Friday or Saturday evenings, Tommie and Romaldo could be seen dancing and dining at Prescott's Pine Cone Inn - a practice they began since before they were married. Her lovely elegance will be a fond memory for those who love her. Tommie was and will continue to be the heart of her grieving family.
Tommie Granillo is survived by her husband, Romaldo; a son, Conrad Granillo; two daughters, Olivia Jimenez and Victoria Hicks; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and an extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for this remarkable woman will include a rosary at Hampton Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6. There will be a mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7.
