Alvin Wayne Krebs was born January 30, 1938 in Murray, Utah to Vaughn and Margaret Krebs. He passed away at his home April 25, 2004 in Tempe, Arizona on at the age of 66. Wayne married Sharron Wright on September 12, 1958, in the Arizona Temple. They had 5 children: Kathryn, who died shortly after birth, 2 sons and 2 daughters.

An electrical engineer, Wayne worked at Motorola for 40 years, retiring as a Senior Project Manager in the Government Electronics Division where he led teams who made significant contributions to America's space exploration and strategic surveillance programs. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wayne lived a life of service in scouting and many other positions of leadership and teaching, including a recent church mission to Canada with Sharron. He loved people and leaves a legacy of helping others and influencing many lives for good. Wayne's greatest joys were spending time with his family, serving his fellow man, enjoying his many friends, traveIing with Sharron, fishing and home improvement projects.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Sharron, his children, Sherlyn and Keith Burkhart, Ken and Kathy Krebs, David and Stephanie Krebs, Sheila and Craig Mulliner and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Margaret, brother Glen, sisters Valene Tillack and Lydia Evans. Services were held at the Elliott Groves Stake Center, 1050 W. Grove Parkway, Tempe, located North of Hardy off Elliott Rd. between Kyrene and Priest. Meldrum Mortuary, funeral directors. Published in the Arizona Republic on 4/27/2004.
