| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona June 29, 2003 Joe Cota Hernandez, age 85, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away June 27, 2003 in Mesa, AZ. He was born November 2, 1917 in Gilbert, AZ and worked as a farming equipment salesman. Visitation and vigil service was held at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N. Macdonald, Mesa. Survivors include his companion, Mary Dominguez; daughters, Trini Valdez, Lidia Bello and Maria Hernandez; sons, Joe Hernandez Jr. and Paul Hernandez; sisters, Rosie Lujan and Jennie Ranjel; brother, Raymond Hernandez; 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Ignacio Hernandez. |
