Dortha Carol Swinyard

Mrs. Dortha Carol Swinyard, 40, a native of Prescott, died at Tucson Medical Center this morning. Born in Prescott, April 5, 1932, she attended Prescott Schools and was graduated from Prescott High School in 1950. She was employed at Webb Motors for a short period prior to moving to California to live. For the past three years Mrs. Swinyard had lived in Prescott and had been employed as an admissions clerk at Yavapai Community Hospital.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Helen Henry of Prescott, a son Kenneth Allen Swinyard, serving with the U.S. Navy at Treasure Island, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Asdel, Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Eleanor Smith, of Prescott and Mrs. Katherine Spindler of Alhambra. Two brothers also survive, George Henry of Kingman and William Henry of Midwest City, Okla.

Services for Mrs. Swinyard will be held at Ruffner Funeral Home Monday, April 10 at 2 p.m. with private interment following at Mountain View Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Yavapai Community Hospital, Prescott.
