Angel Humberto Tellez Jr., 76, was born September 23, 1926 in Tucson, Arizona. He entered into rest April 25, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona. Angel served his country in the US Navy during World War II, receiving many decorations. He graduated from the University of Arizona with two Masters degrees and went on to teach at Tucson High School starting in 1953. From 1962 to 1989 he was at Glendale Community College, serving as the Math Department Head for a number of years. Angel was a lifetime member of the National Education Association.

He is survived by his wife, Concepcion Tellez, sons, John Tellez and George Tellez, daughter, Christine Tellez Pearson, brother, Walter Malin. Visitation was at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Services were at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic on 5/2/2003.
