Mary Ann (Sims) Gromo

Mary Ann Gromo, 89, of Alliquippa, Pa., formerly of Washington, Pa., and Prescott Valley, Ariz., crossed over to be with the Lord on Dec. 22, 2008.

She was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Washington, Pa., a daughter of Charles and Mary Holmes Sims.

She was a former member of the First Christian Church, Washington.

Mrs. Gromo was a caregiver to several families through the years.

She will be reunited with her husband Harry H. Gromo who passed away April 17, 1994.

Surviving are two sons, Harry A. and Charles D. Gromo, both of Alliquippa; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and close friends Melvin Schmal and Carl Isbelle, both of Prescott. She was lovingly referred to as Aunt Dean by many who knew her. Deceased are two brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in the chapel at The Washington Cemetery, 498 Park Ave., Washington. Everyone is to meet at the cemetery.
