William F. Boggs

William Foster Boggs, 79, of Cottonwood, died March 3, 2007. He was born June 23, 1927, in New York City to Howard L. and Marretta Boggs.

William was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served as a staff sergeant.

He worked for Mountain Bell for 35 years, and he also worked as a tour guide for Tuzigoot. William was also involved with the first All-Indian Rodeo, the School Board, and the Chamber of Commerce in Winslow.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Georgia Boggs of Cottonwood; his son, William G. Boggs (Mindy) of Valparaiso, Ind.; his sister, Jacquie Boggs of Kutztown, Penn.; and four grandchildren.

William was a senior warden at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale, where a Funeral Service will be today, March 7, at 10 a.m.
