Dorothy D. Berthot

Dorothy Drane Berthot, 79, of Camp Verde, died March 1, 2007, in Cottonwood. She was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Eldorado, Kan., to Phillips Brooks Drane and Katherine Beecher Richardson Drane.

Dorothy was a graduate of the University of Tulsa. She was fortunate to be a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Dorothy leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Charles A. Berthot of Camp Verde; three sons, Mike Stanley Cannan (Valerie) of Houston, Texas, Robert Mitchell Cannan of Broomfield, Colo., and Patrick Philip Cannan (Michelle) of Arvada, Colo.; one daughter, Katherine Ann Lederman (Marc) of Sterling, Va.; one step-son, Clay C. Berthot of Locust, N.C.; five step-daughters, Lisa J. Swan of Greece, Bridget L. Brush (Barry) of Charlotte, N.C., Mary Janae Berthot of Phoenix, Polly S. McGuire (Kelly) of Odessa, Texas, and Ellen F. Sandoval (Rueben) of Cottonwood; one sister, Phyllis Drane Bernard (David) of Santa Monica, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at Westcott Funeral Home on March 5.
