Curtis Dale Cauthen was born Monday, April 11, 1977, the day after Easter. Curtis was taken suddenly from us Dec. 17, 2008, in a work-related accident in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was employed by Swanson Aviation Group. He enjoyed his work and his many co-workers.

His greatest joy and love of his life was his son Jacob. He loved life and was certainly loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Curtis loved hunting, shooting, fishing and the outdoors and certainly a good conversation. He never met a stranger or had a problem he couldn't talk himself through.

Curtis is survived by his son Jacob Charles; his parents John and Terry Cauthen; his brother and sister-in-law Tommie and Jessica; his nieces, Shaelynn and Brittanie; and his nephew John. He is also survived by his grandparents, Tommie and Joyce Cauthen, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at the Ash Fork School.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Curtis' son Jacob at National Bank of Arizona.

Chino Valley Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements.
