Albert J. Hess

Albert James Hess, 81, of Cottonwood, died March 2, 2007. He was born July 2, 1925, in Niles, Ohio, to William Earl and Alice (Brooks) Hess.

Albert served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy as a signalman second class.

Professionally, Albert worked with the Local 428 Union as a heavy equipment operator, and dedicated 30 years as such before taking his retirement.

Albert was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6739, and the American Legion Post 25.

He leaves behind his son, James Hess (Annie) of Flagstaff; his daughters, Cherry James (Dean) of Wilhoit, and Bobbi Spradling of Cottonwood; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Prescott National Cemetery on March 16 at 1 p.m.
