| Rickie Joe Sorrells Jr., 42, of Sachse, Texas, and formerly of Tonopah died Nov. 30, 2011. He was born Feb. 12, 1969, in Phoenix to Rickie Sr. and Sharon. He graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1987 and from Arizona State University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He was an Air Force veteran. He was an engineer on the Light Rail Project in Phoenix as well as the Dart Rail in Dallas. He is survived by one son, Taylor B. of Flower Mound, Tex.; one daughter, Ashleigh of Omaha, Neb.; his father, Rickie Sr. of Garden Grove, Iowa; his mother, Sharon of Buckeye; five sisters, Tracey Vela of Goodyear, Gina Newman, Sherri Schulz and Lindsey, all of Buckeye, and Kenadi of Garden Grove, Iowa; two brothers, Sean of Hubbard, Iowa, and Conner of Garden Grove, Iowa; and grandparents, Delores of Hubbard, Iowa, and Dorothy Waddle of Tempe. Services were Dec. 17, 2011, in the gymnasium at Buckeye Union High School, 816 E. Eason Ave., Buckeye. West Valley View 12/9/2011 |
