Lily Sahagun Hernandez, 82 of Cottonwood, Ariz., died at home on Monday, Dec. 15th.

Lily was born on Feb. 26, 1926, in Jerome, Ariz. In her early she and her family lived in Jerome and Oatman, Ariz. and later moved to California, she returned to Arizona permanently in 1972.

She was a pink lady at Verde Valley Medical Center and was a retired realtor in the Verde Valley and she worked as a banker in California. Lily, enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, bowling, and cooking.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lily leaves behind her two sons: Oscar (Deborah), and Michael both of Cottonwood, two daughters: Evie (Ken) Scott of Scotland, UK, Terry (David) Lay of Cottonwood; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Hernandez.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., at the Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, Ariz.
