| Ventura County Star, Ventura, California Friday, November 24, 2000, page B11 Lillian Madrid Sotelo, 84, of Oxnard passed away Tuesday Nov. 21 2000 in Oxnard after a lengthy illness. She passed away at home with her children and husband at her bedside. She was born April 12, 1916 in Prescott, Ariz. and had been a Ventura County resident for 57 years coming from Arizona. She was a homemaker, loved to crochet, go to Las Vegas, the outdoors, and loved to care for her family and grandchildren and to have them by her side. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Sotelo Sr.; sons Robert Madrid of Oxnard and Manuel Sotelo Jr. of Oxnard; daughters Rose Robison (Bruce) of Oxnard, Dolores Madrid Ramirez (Mando) of Oxnard and Gloria Gama of Paso Robles; ten grandchildren nine great-grandchildren; two sisters Rachel Marquez and Elizabeth Molina both of Phoenix Ariz.; and caregiver Lupe Hernandez. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 25 2000 at James A. Reardon Chapel in Oxnard with Pastor Dave Castle officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Association 1996 Eastman Ave. Suite 101 Ventura CA 93003. Arrangements are under the direction of James A. Reardon Mortuary 511 North A St. Oxnard. |
