DAVIDSON, Maude Maude Davidson, born August 11, 1921 in Fairfield, Mississippi, passed away on January 26, 2005 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was the daughter of William and Clara Rainey. Maude is preceded in death by her husband Rupert, and her sons Robert and Don. Surviving family include daughter Carol, son Thomas and wife Diane, son Jerry and wife Jean, and 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Rupert and Maude moved to Tempe in 1960 after Rupert retired as a Lt. Col. with over 30 years of active military service in the Army and Air Force. Maude thought of everyone first before herself. She enjoyed cooking, and she was an avid gardener. Maude was a true Christian who attended Grace Community Church with her daughter Carol for many years. She was devoted to her family and always saw the good in others. Graveside services were held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Donations may be made in Maude's name to: Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Rd., Phx., AZ 85006-2622. Arrangements handled by Tempe Mortuary. Published in The Arizona Republic on 1/30/2005. |
