Cody Meckstroth, of Queen Creek Arizona passed away on June 21, 2004. He was the beloved son of Cyndi DeBoer and Doug Meckstroth and stepparents Terry DeBoer and Janis Meckstroth. A 1996 graduate of Marcos de Niza High School, Cody was a proud member of the marching and concert bands. He has been employed with Avnet since 1996. He attended Mesa and Rio Salado Community Colleges and the University of Phoenix.

He is survived by his fiancee Amber Baughman, grandparents Doris and Carl Meckstroth, Catherine and Ray Revait, brother John Meckstroth and sisters Joy Ruppert (Nathaniel), Laura Meckstroth and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. Cody and his beloved Amber were planning their lives together. A lover of life, Cody enjoyed to the fullest his friends and family, laughter, music, basketball, karate, and golf. He had an avid interest and love of animals of all varieties. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Phoenix Zoo where Cody enjoyed many happy hours while growing up. He will be so very missed by us all.

Visitation was at Bueler Chandler Mortuary and Chapel, 14 West Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225 on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. Funeral services were held at Corona Baptist Church, 4450 West Ray Road, Chandler. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Phoenix Zoo - 455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix 85008 in care of Cody Meckstroth memorial. Published in the Arizona Republic on 6/23/2004.
