Paul E. Peterson passed away Nov. 10. Services will be held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on Thursday (Nov. 13) at 10 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. The services will be conducted by Larry Greenaway.

Interment will be held at the Wickenburg Cemetery following services.

Paul was born in Mason City, Neb., on Jan. 7, 1918.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Venice (Dedlow) and his sons Bruce, Richard (Pete) (JoAnn), Douglas (Rosemary), Martin, and Russell all of Wickenburg. He is also survived by brothers Andy of Riverton, Wyo., and Bryce of Texarkana, Ark. His surviving sisters are Fern (Ed) Yung, and Erma (Don) Yung of Kimball, Neb., and Hazel Peterson of Korea. Missing him most are his grandchildren Jeff, Jerry, Brian, Keith, Jacob, Erin Garcia, Amelia Houser, and great-grandchildren Kade, Clare and Miley.

In sorrow, the family of Paul E. Peterson announce that on Monday evening, Nov. 10, Paul entered into eternal rest. Services were held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on Thursday (Nov. 13) at 10 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. The services were conducted by Larry Greenaway. Interment was held at the Wickenburg Cemetery following the services.

Paul was born in Mason City, Neb., on Jan. 7, 1918.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Venice (Dedlow) and his sons Bruce, Richard (Pete) and JoAnne (Murphy), Douglas and Rosemary (Burns), Martin, and Russell - all of Wickenburg. He is also survived by brothers Andy of Riverton, Wyo., and Bryce of Texarkana, Ark. His surviving sisters are Fern (Ed) Yung and Erma (Don) Yung of Kimball, Neb., and Hazel Peterson of Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Laura (Neilson) Peterson, a brother Miles of Riverton, Wyo., sisters Lois of Kimball, Neb., and Mildred (Peterson) Frohbieter of Riverton, Wyo.

Missing him most are his grandsons Jeff, Jerry, Brian, Keith, Jacob, and granddaughters Erin Garcia, Amelia Houser; and his great-grandchildren Kade, Clare and Miley.

Before moving to Wickenburg in 1952, he lived in Nebraska and Wyoming. His first job in town was with Brayton Commercial. He worked at the Wickenburg Lumber Company owned by Perry and Ethel Underdown. He later went to work as a painter for his brother-in-law Wayne Ryan of Ryan’s Painting. After his painting career, he ventured into real estate and worked for American Realty and Thompson Realty. In 1967, he established the Peterson Agency Real Estate from which he retired. Peterson Agency is still in business serving Wickenburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
