Carol Joan Frank peacefully passed away Nov. 13 at the age of 63. Carol was born in Falls City, Neb., but has lived in Arizona for more than 50 years - half of those years were in Wickenburg, but most recently in Glendale, Ariz.

Carol attended school in Phoenix, moved to Wickenburg and gave up her working career to become a full-time mother. While raising her daughters, she enjoyed many hobbies including painting and sewing. She shared that passion through various art and sewing organizations in the Wickenburg community.

Carol was an avid researcher, and spent more than 20 years compiling data and documents on the family history. Her genealogy took her traveling across the United States and even traveling abroad to Ireland to do field research on the family tree. Some of her greatest moments lie in the revelation of newly discovered relatives.

Carol was active in her local community. For many years she supported the local PTA in the annual Book Sale, and she was involved in various computer clubs. Later in life, she enjoyed being a Dame in the Red Hat Club. Above all, Carol’s greatest passion was her four daughters. She often referred to them as her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by Ron Johnson and Don Frank. Her many survivors include brother Robert Philpot; daughters Ronda Johnson, Danielle Owens, Deanna Parker, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Nicki Frank of Wickenburg, Ariz.; granddaughter Ariel Denmark; extended family members include Chris Parker, Cole Walter, Dr. T, Holly Thorson and family, Kelly Burford, Teddy Shobe, and many others who were a significant piece of her life. Carol is also survived by her loving pets - dog Chia, cat Candy, seven grand-doggies, and three grand-kitties.

A memorial service to celebrate her life is being held Sunday (Nov. 23) at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg
