| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 6, 2005 Marie Jean Norris Hart Basta, 86, of Prescott, born Feb. 13, 1919, in Ruth, Nevada, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in Prescott Valley. Services will take place on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Germaine Catholic Church. Rosary will be made at 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. The family suggests memorial donations to United Animal Friends, P.O. Box 11133, Prescott, AZ. 86304. Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home. ----------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Marie Jean Norris-Hart-Basta departed this life on Dec. 2nd, at the age of 86 years. She was the mother of Carlena Fransen (Hart) of Prescott, John Hart Jr. of Denver, Colo. and Mary Anne Bergan (Hart) of Cheyenne, Wyo. She was the grandmother of Katie Fransen of Prescott and James Fransen II of Phoenix. She was the great-grandmother of Sequoia Fransen-LeftHand of Prescott. Marie was born in Ruth, Nev., but grew up in Greybull, Wyo., and will be laid to rest in the Norris-Hart family plot there. She undertook nurses training at St. Mary's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Other than several years as an AT&T Operator in Greybull, she worked as a nurse there and finally retired after several years as the school nurse. That was her favorite job and she made it her business to make sure that poorer children had clothing, eye-glasses and other necessities. She came to live at the Granite Gate Senior Living facility, in Prescott, in 1997. One of her very favorite activities was to attend the informal concerts at POP'S Music Store on Iron Springs Road in Prescott. Her family is most grateful for the wonderful care she received at the New Horizon Care Home at 2070 E. Long Look Road in Prescott Valley, Ariz. during her final illness. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service and reception at St. Germaine's Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 9th, at 11 a.m. A Rosary will be held prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Donations in her memory can be sent to United Animal Friend, P.O.
