| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, January 03, 2009 Doreas Smith, 99, born April 5, 1909, Noblesville, Ind., passed away Jan. 1, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. A memorial service will take place at a later date at Prescott Christian Church. Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted the family with the arrangements. --------------------------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 07, 2009 Dorcas Geraldine Smith, 99, of Prescott, Ariz., died Jan. 1, 2009. Dorcas was born April 5, 1909, on a farm outside of Noblesville, Ind., to Levi and Josephine New Harger. She attended College at Indiana University where she received her MA degree in 1939. She taught in the high school until age 38, when she met and married her husband Mark Smith, who preceded her in death after 42 years of marriage. She is survived by her niece Helen Josephine Truesdale and family of South Carolina. Dorcas has been very active working for the Lord at Prescott Christian Church. She served as librarian, Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Las Fuentes Care Center. Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted with the services. Information provided by survivors.
