Gordon Lee Perry, 86, died on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in his home in Prescott, Ariz. Born on Dec. 24, 1922, in Bakersfield, Calif., he was the son of the late Robert and Julia (Nielsen) Perry.

Gordon loved playing cards and farming. He was a man with a lot of projects to keep him busy. He was a member of the Prescott VFW, and the Prescott Elks Lodge 330. He was proud of his service to his country in the U.S. Navy, and of being a fifth-generation native Californian.

Gordon is survived by his children, Kristine Morgan of Prescott, Ariz., and Robert Perry of Hercules, Calif.; grandchildren Phoebe and Susanna; great-grandchild Morgan Lee; and sister Barbara Meadows of Oildale, Calif. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marjorie; son Steven Lee; and brothers Robert and William Perry. He will be greatly missed.

Services for Gordon will take place in Bakersfield, Calif., at a later date.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family.
