Margaret L. (Maggie) (Erb) Ryerson

Margaret L. "Maggie" Ryerson, 92, of Princeton, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park, Rock Island, Ill., following the funeral services.

Maggie was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Fred and Emma (Stadler) Erb. She retired in 1980 from Deere & Co. after 28 years of employment as an administrative assistant. Maggie was well-known for her sense of humor and she could light up a room with her presence. She loved to go to casinos coast to coast and was honored to have a poker game named after her called "Murder Marg." She will be greatly missed.

Joining lifelong companion Don Werkmeister of Princeton, Iowa, in honoring Maggie's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Crystal Ryerson of Prescott, Ariz.; her grandchildren, Scott (Sylvia) Ryerson of Singapore and Stacy (Mike) Yeater of Rock Island; her great-grandchildren, Sean, Brandon and Asher; and her sisters, Lois Kreger of Rock Island and JoAnne (Lou) Zimmer, of Edmond, Okla.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Emma, Ceil and Marie.
