The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 12, 2006 Barbara J. (Osborne) Wahmann, 87, of Clarkdale, Ariz., passed away Saturday, March 18, in Sedona, Ariz. She was born July 26, 1918, in Grand Rapids, Mi., to James S. and Helen F. Hitchcock. She worked for Pennsylvania Central (United) Airlines, then held administrative secretarial positions with Bendix Aviation (Zenith Division) in Detroit, Mi., and U.S. Plywood Corp., Philadelphia, Pa. Moving to Arizona in 1962, she worked in advertising, then as ticket office secretary with the Phoenix Symphony Association for 17 years. Retiring in 1986, she moved to Clarkdale; she married Russell Wahmann, who predeceased her in 1994. Survivors include her sister, M. Joan (Rod) Moyer of Sun City, Ariz.; stepdaughters Donna Wahmann, Fairview, N.C., and Kay (Mischa) Zivkovic (Redland Bay, Australia); brother-in-law David Miller (Lowell, Mi.); and four nephews. Private service is pending. Memorial gifts to no-kill animal shelter of donor's choice. |
