The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/20/2012 William “Bill” Zink, 65, of Pinetop died unexpectedly Jan. 12, 2012, in his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Orange, Mass. to William and Geraldine Zink. He and Elizabeth “Betty” Gihring were married March 18, 1978. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Arizona in 1975, and earned his master’s degree from Arizona State University in 1985. He taught at Mesa, Gila Bend, and Phoenix schools, and was an administrator at Flagstaff schools. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; daughter, Amy of Phoenix; sisters: Marilyn DeVito of Tucson, Kathy Dube of Webster, Mass., Teresa Gullage of Orange, Mass., and Margaret Zink of Holden, Mass.; brother David Zink of Orange, Mass. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church located at 2035 S. Penrod Lane, Pinetop, AZ 85935.
