The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 15, 1997 William V. Holcomb of Circle City died Jan. 15 in Wickenburg Regional Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Holcomb was born Jan. 30, 1916 in Chino, Calif. He had lived in Arizona for the past 11 years. Mr. Holcomb was a veteran of World War II; a member of The Palm West Community Church in Sun City West; and a third generation native of California. The town of Holcomb Valley, Calif., was named after his family. Survivors include his wife Lola of Circle City; son Dale Holcomb of Phoenix; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Palm West Community Church in Sun City West, and a visitation was conducted Friday, Jan. 17 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ralph Daniels officiated the ceremonies. Burial was conducted at the Morristown Cemetery.
