The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 7, 2003 Kenneth H. Phillips, 92 years, passed away on February 4, 2003 at his daughter's house in Mesa, AZ. He was born in Miami, AZ and worked in the mines until 1945 when he and his wife, Margaret moved to Winslow. He owned and operated a construction company and built much around Winslow. After 10-15 years he went into the Ready Mix Concrete business and operated that until 1985. He retired and focused on his favorite hobby of wood working, specializing in clocks. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret and son-in-law Bob Evans. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kay Evans, Mesa, and Rita (Ron) Schmidt of Mesa. He is also survived by 1 granddaughter Heidi Evans, 2 grandsons, Eric (Cathy) Evans and Rusty (Sandi) Evans. in great-grandchildren.
